AstraResearch
A research marketplace for the space economy — orbital mechanics, life support, materials, propulsion theory, autonomy. AstraChain funds open studies and bounties; the community publishes, peer-reviews, and trades datasets directly.

Pick how you want to participate
Browse AstraChain-funded open builds, or jump into the community marketplace to sell, license, or sponsor work directly.
Sponsored science. Open results.
AstraChain grants flow through governance proposals with milestone-based treasury draws. Open research outputs are freely available to the ecosystem, with citations and provenance recorded on-chain.
- ▸Funded from the gov-treasury treasury bucket per governance approval
- ▸Stakeholders sponsor competitions on specific open problems with ASTRA bounties
- ▸Findings flow downstream into AstraTech implementations and AstraBuilder designs
- ▸Reproducibility scored on-chain — submissions stake a deposit slashed on fraud
Sell datasets. Sponsor studies.
Independent researchers publish, peer-review, and trade datasets and findings directly. Operators sponsor private studies; reviewers earn for their work.
- ▸Paywalled datasets, licensed models, or sponsored studies between two parties
- ▸Peer-review markets reward independent reproduction of results
- ▸Citations on-chain so authors can prove provenance and earn royalties
- ▸Optional staked claims so authors can backstop the integrity of their data
AstraChain-funded pipeline
From proposal to orbit
AstraChain-funded research starts with a problem statement on governing. Stakers vote to approve a grant or bounty, and findings are published openly so they can flow into AstraTech implementations and AstraBuilder designs.
Problem statement
A platinum staker frames an open question with success criteria — a reproducible result, a peer-reviewed paper, or a usable dataset.
Funding vote
Stakers approve the grant size or bounty pool from the gov-treasury treasury.
Competition or grant
Researchers compete or apply. Milestone-gated draws release funds as evidence is delivered.
Open publication
Outputs (papers, datasets, simulations) become public goods that downstream tech and builds can reference.
What might launch here
LEO debris dataset
High-frequency tracking data for collision-avoidance modeling on AstraTrade routes.
Closed-loop life support study
Reproducibility study of CO₂/water recycling for community hab modules.
Low-thrust transfer atlas
A computed atlas of low-thrust Earth-Moon transfers feeding HCS Map planners.
The marketplace opens with governance.
AstraChain-funded builds, tech, and research go live once the relevant proposal pipelines are ratified by stakers. Track or vote on the work that lands here through governing and the public roadmap.
